It started to snow this morning! We were very excited . . . by the afternoon there was a lot of snow. I wonder if we will have a white Christmas?
Yesterday was International Day at school. We didn't have normal classes! In the morning we had a nations parade with national anthems and flags. We came dressed in our national costumes. There are 26 different nationalities at our school.
After that we went to different country stations and learnt about the countries. In the afternoon we had a cultural show where every class did a performance. We did a song from South Africa. It was great fun. The photo here is some of the older students at on of the country stations. We have been learning about Instructional writing and Mr Orchard showed us all how to make a sandwich. We then wrote some interactions for Zoob from the planet Zobe so that he would know how to make his own sandwich.
It was the first time most of us had made a sandwich. We had a lot of fun. We had to brush our hair and make our teeth shine today for the school photos. Here are some of the class waiting to take a class photo. To start our Topic on People Who Help Us we went to Biru World. This is a place where there is an inside town where children can learn about jobs and get paid special money. We worked on a plane, as firefighters, police, doctors and lots more. It was very exciting.
Every month when learn about a new character trait. This month we are learning about compassion. We watched a Bible story about Jesus - why don't you watch it too and tell us how you think Jesus showed compassion? |
